My 13 eats of 2013
2013. What a crazy and rewarding year you have been. Apart from the usual restaurant chasing in London and the UK, this year saw me revisit some of my fondest cities in Europe… from a truly epic Chianti road trip in Spring to my annual Pintxos pilgrimage to San Sebastian in Summer.
But for me, 2013 will always be remembered more for the cooking than the eating. It was the year this once disillusioned City Boy became a Cordon Bleu trained chef. And lets not forget the recent launch of my Malaysian Nyonya Supper Club – the culmination of a long-standing dream of mine to bring Malaysian Nyonya food to London and put it on the map. It has been an incredible journey and I’m grateful for all the support and words of encouragement I’ve gotten along the way.
As is tradition with previous years, here’s my annual round up of the very best eats from around the world which 2013 served up…
