Xmas Potluck Feast.
Some shots from a terrific Xmas Eve potluck feast at my place last night. Kudos to everyone who made the night happen and thanks for all the food, booze and great company!
Some nibbles got the party started…
as did Astrid’s Antipasti board.
Nigella’s Cherry Coke Gammon made a comeback…
…as did our customary KFC bucket…
…but the X’mas Goose was the hottest bird in town.
Let’s not forget possibly the best Mac ‘n Cheese the world has ever seen…
…nor the rest of the Full Monty which ranged from Slow-cooked Guinness Beef Shin to Beef Lasagne to Roasted Lamb Shanks.
It’s no wonder the crowd kept coming back for more!
Sweet treats were aplenty from Brownies…
…to Candied Orange Peel…
…even home-made Jam tarts all the way from Malacca…
…but as Dan’s face indicates, it was Jo’s Tiramisu which stole the show.
Lastly, a special thank you to all our Secret Santas!

and what is that thing that szu is holding up? looks uber obscene! the framed print behind her however is really pretty! is it the one you said you got from etsy?
Em: was a lot of food indeed, we finally worked our way thru the last of the leftovers yesterday! Szu is holding up a “bananaguard” courtesy of Jinney (yes i thought it looked like a large version of something starting with D, ending in O and middle letters ILD as well)… The print is Rob Ryan’s “can we shall we” which i got from his shop/studio in Columbia rd. I think Etsy only sells his smaller prints…

LeeEng: Yeah, I think I gained 2 kilos alone over the X’mas period. Back in March and will try to find the time to cook up a feast back home!
