NYONYA SUPPER CLUB |X| SAMBAL SHIOK – NASI KERABU NIGHTS!

For a limited number of Saturdays only on July 22nd, August 5th, September 16th & 23rd I will be joining forces with my dear friend & fellow Malaysian chef Mandy Yin (@SambalShiok) to bring Nasi Kerabu to London! We will be popping up at our favourite Gin bar in town, The Oliver Conquest in Aldgate East.

Popular in the East Coast states of Kelantan & Terengganu in Northern Malaysia, Nasi Kerabu gets it’s distinctive blue colour from ‘bunga telang’ (blue pea flowers). We will be serving up this blue rice with an array of traditional condiments and accompanying main dishes for sharing.

Tickets for the Nasi Kerabu set are priced at £35/person. There will be 2 seatings per evening: 1st seating 5.30pm, 2nd seating 8pm. Purchase your tickets on Eventbrite by following this link here. Due to the sharing nature of the menu, tickets will only be sold in multiples of 2.  It’s 24 spaces per seating so get in there quick! Please note that this is not a BYOB event – drinks are not included in the ticket price. The Oliver Conquest has a wide range G&Ts, cocktails & other beverages available to purchase on the night that have been carefully selected to complement the food.

We are sorry it will not be possible to cater specifically for shrimp allergies, vegetarians or pescatarians for this unique collaboration menu. For those with serious allergies, please also note that Malaysian cooking involves the use of shrimp paste, nuts & gluten. Our menu is halal. Dairy-free dessert available upon advance request (3 days notice).
